B403 CERTAN, an innovative new biological formula against wax moth.B403 is a highly effective biological larvicide used to combat wax moth (Galleria Mellonella), a common pest in Beehives. It is based on Bacillus Thuringiensis, a microorganism that is harmless to bees, humans and the environment.Available in 120 ml. packages.
Information and useAvailable in 120 ml. packages. Dilution: B403 is used at 10 percent Dose for 1 Honey super frames: 20 ml. of the already diluted solution.Dose for 1 nest frames: 40 ml.120ml package treats 60 Honey super frames or 60 nest frames.B403, also known as Certan, is a biological product for the prevention of wax moths on stored frames.B403 uses Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), a naturally occurring bacterium that kills wax moths at the larval stage. This bacterium produces protein crystals that, when ingested by the moths, break down their intestinal walls, causing their death within 24 hours of application. When to use B 403 ?At the end of the harvest, after the bees have cleaned the Honey super and before storing them. The protection will last until the Honey super is laid the following year. For storing nest combs in all possible situations. How to prepare B 403 ?B 403 CERTAN consists of Bacillus thuringiensis spores and should be diluted 10% in water. Shake the bottle of B 403 vigorously before mixing.Once diluted, B 403 should be used within 24 hours. It is therefore advisable to prepare only the necessary amount according to the number of frames to be treated.
